If you're an AgileBits Store user this should be as simple as opening 1Password's preferences and switching to the Updates tab. If you're interested what you would need to do is the following. Hello understanding is, that we've added more logging into our current beta of 1Password 6.2. We'll take a look at them and try to figure out what's going on. The sample file it creates will give us a rough idea of what the app is up to during this time. It'll create a report, and this window will have a 'Save.' button in the upper right of the window

  • Activity Monitor will bring up a window and it'll do its thing for a few seconds.
  • Switch back to Activity Monitor, and click the toolbar button that looks like a gear and has a downward arrow.
  • Unlock mini in such a way that mini would lock up.
  • Search for '1Password' in the top right search field.
  • Launch Activity Monitor from /Application/Utilities.
  • here's what I'd like from those of you who are having this issue: Let us know and we can help you get setup with the beta so that you can have access to your data.įor those of you where mini does in fact come back and behave. If mini never becomes responsive again, then you're probably hitting the problem that we fixed. If the mini becomes responsive after a period of time, then the issue is not one that we've been looking at and fixing as part of the next release.
  • I'm running on a Mid 2014 13-inch Mac Book Pro with Retina display.įor those of you who are experiencing this problem.
  • Restarting the Mac does not fix the issue.
  • I can't say if it was with the 6.0.2 1Password upgrade that the issue started, but that's entirely possible. In that time, I'm pretty sure I've upgraded from Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 to 10.11.3 (ie had the issue both before and after the OS upgrade).
  • This has been happening for a while now my guess is a few weeks.
  • Then it works eventually, after roughly the same 5-20 seconds as it takes to be able to use the browser extension when I unlock from within it. Then after maybe 10 seconds, the 1Password extension panel opens in an apparently-random place on my screen. If I click the 1Password icon in Safari, nothing happens at all. However, if I unlock in the app and then go immediately to the browser, the extension does not work immediately.
  • Same behavior with the mini icon in the menu bar.
  • I've had the same issue in Safari 9.0.3 (11601.4.4) (my regular browser) and Chrome.

There is no delay if I mistype my master password the delay happens after my password is accepted but before the extension changes away from the enter password screen. Once unlocked, the extension is fast as usual.

  • Yes, the extension works after the delay (which varies from probably 5-20 seconds.
