Using LibreOffice has the advantage of being able to embed the original document into the PDF. In Linux, I still use LibreOffice for creating PDFs. I made PDFs that were mostly text in Win 7 using LibreOffice Writer (and, occasionally, LibreOffice Calc). In Linux, my browser (Brave-browser) automatically gives me the choice of saving to a PDF or actually printing them, thus taking the place of PDF Creator. The only thing I used PDF Creator in Win 7 for was as a virtual printer for "printing" online receipts when the only option to download a receipt was to actually print it. PDF Creator is the last program i need to find an alternative for so that i dont have to boot back into win7. In a complete refusal of win10 I recently converted to Linux. I have dabbled with Linux for a few years but am still very new to all of this. if anyone has any other recommendations or possible knowledge if PDF Creator works in WINE, please let me know. but am starting to think that may be my only option other than a VM. i dont yet aspire to delve into WINE as of now. I really prefer to have a local program to complete this task since i feel web based options would not be recommend for combining docs that have personal info.Īlso i tried using LibreOffice but did not find a way to achieve this task. Please name them and indicate if they preserve privacy. You mentioned that there are web based alternatives. I found some alternatives listed on "" under Linux but none seemed to list this capability. If you search, there are web based alternative for this task.
